Blue Slip Inspection
Authorised Blue Slip Inspections at SK Automotive and Tyres
Ensure your vehicle meets NSW registration requirements with a certified Blue Slip Inspection at SK Automotive and Tyres.
A Blue Slip Inspection is required when a vehicle is being registered in NSW for the first time, re-registered after being unregistered, or transferred from interstate. At SK Automotive and Tyres, we are an authorised inspection station, providing thorough and compliant Blue Slip inspections you can rely on.
What Is a Blue Slip Inspection?
A Blue Slip Inspection is a comprehensive safety and identity inspection required by Transport for NSW. It ensures the vehicle is safe to operate on NSW roads and confirms the vehicle’s identity and compliance.
Compared to a Pink Slip, a Blue Slip is more detailed and covers additional checks.
Once your vehicle passes, the inspection details are electronically submitted to Service NSW.
What We Check During a Blue Slip Inspection
Our qualified inspectors conduct a detailed assessment, including:
- Vehicle identity and compliance (VIN, engine number)
- Structural integrity and body condition
- Brakes, steering, and suspension
- Tyres, wheels, and alignment condition
- Lights, indicators, and electrical systems
- Windscreen, mirrors, wipers, and washers
- Seatbelts and safety restraints
- Fluid leaks affecting safety or compliance
- Emissions and exhaust system
All inspections are completed in accordance with Transport for NSW standards.

Do You Need a Blue Slip?

- Being registered in NSW for the first time
- An interstate vehicle needing NSW registration
- Previously written off and cleared for registration
If you’re unsure whether you need a Blue Slip, our team is happy to advise.
